A crown reduction brings down the overall height and spread of a tree while keeping its natural shape. It’s ideal when a tree’s blocking light, growing over a boundary or roof, or simply getting bigger than you want — done properly it reduces the sail and the stress on the branches without leaving it looking butchered.
Crown thinning takes out some of the inner growth to let more light and air through. Crown lifting removes the lower branches to give clearance over a path, drive or lawn. Deadwooding takes out the dead and dying branches that could drop. We’ll advise which your tree actually needs — we won’t sell you work it doesn’t.
